Why FADE?
FADE stands for four of our core principles: Functional, Adaptive, Dynamic, Embodiment
Functional
We believe therapy should be deeply practical—focused on what matters most to you. From the very first appointment, we work collaboratively to understand your goals, lifestyle, and ambitions. Together, we develop a treatment plan that’s not only tailored to your needs but also fits naturally into your daily life. Therapy shouldn’t end at the clinic door—our strategies, exercises, and recommendations are designed to empower you beyond the session, helping you thrive in your own environment with tools you can actually use.
Adaptive
Every person and every injury is different—and so is our approach. Whether you're recovering from a new injury or managing long-standing symptoms, we use evidence-based techniques like massage, joint mobilisation, dry needling, taping, and nerve glides to relieve pain and promote healing. Manual therapy techniques also aim to reduce symptoms to the point that movement and exercise can be incorporated safely and comfortably to further improvement. Our approach is flexible and responsive: we constantly review your progress, adapt strategies, and find what works best for you—so you can get moving again, faster and stronger.
Dynamic
Movement is life—and key to lifelong wellbeing. That’s why we emphasise personalised exercise and activity as a cornerstone of recovery and performance. Not everyone needs to be a gym fanatic, but finding movement you enjoy and can fit into your life is important for treatment and to lower the risk of both re-injury and new injuries. Outside of rehabilitation and injury prevention, physiotherapy can be incredibly helpful in high performance and helping athletes (or those just wanting to improve themselves) to find an edge and small ways to improve themselves.
Embodiment
Embodiment captures the essence of everything we do. Our bodies are how we engage with the world, so when pain or injury occurs, it disrupts more than just movement—it impacts your entire experience of life. That’s why we take a holistic approach, considering all aspects of your life and how your symptoms affect you. We then create an integrated treatment plan tailored to your unique circumstances, experiences, and goals.
At FADE, our goal is to help you fully participate in your day-to-day life without your embodied experience getting in the way. All our hands-on treatment, exercise prescription, and advice is geared towards your goals and helping your embodied experience to be the best it can be!
